1. Community Survey Results
Description:
Please see attached the community survey results we received from Don Lifto. It is the same Results Workbook I emailed you earlier this week. Don will present the interpretation of the results at the special board meeting on Tuesday morning at 9:00 AM. I previewed his PowerPoint presentation this morning and will be providing him feedback later this afternoon. One of the things I'd like to know is - How many millions of dollars will $194 for a home market value of $140,000 raise for our facilities project? (see attached document) |
2. Negotiation Talks with Winkelman
Description:
The board committee members (Michelle, Jim, and Dale); Tom Ollman; and I are scheduled to meet and negotiate with Winkelman at 4:00 PM on Monday. We'll inform/update the full board at the special board meeting at 9:00 AM on Tuesday. |
3. Negotiations Talks with Superintendent
Description:
I'm not going to continue sending the board data related to my thoughts and wishes for a third contract. I do realize, however, any contract settlement for me may require some public talking points for board members. Today I received from MSBA an advertisement for the Pillager superintendent position. I shared with you on Monday recent hires for the Holdingford ($113,850 - year 2) and Eden-Valley Watkins ($112,000 - year 1) superintendents were much higher in their first year than mine. It will take me until my seventh year in Royalton to make in salary what they both made in their first year as beginning superintendents. Also, I have a doctorate degree while they have a masters and specialist. The market value for a superintendent will continue and go higher as illustrated in Pillager's search for a new superintendent (see attachment). The salary range their hired consultant MSBA advertises is $110,000 - $125,000 depending on experience and qualifications. The figures we discussed on Monday during closed negotiations would place me closer to the going market. It's not the $120s in year seven but it's a great improvement from my first six years. Thank you! I feel highly appreciative and grateful for the board's acknowledgement and intent to commensurate my salary with other area schools hiring superintendents. I believe I have been offering Royalton Schools vision and leadership at the same time Royalton Schools has been offering me a lot both professionally and personally! |
