3. Update on Building Facilities
Description:
This week the principals and I walked around the MS-HS building with John and Gary (Kraus-Anderson) and Paul Youngquest (architect with Architects, Rego, & Youngquist). It is more and more apparent the services of an architect is now needed. I met with Pete Filippi, Larry Filippi and Earl Fuechtmann yesterday morning. They are partners with Contegrity Group, inc. in Little Falls. We visited about their construction management services. I'd like a representative group of us to interview them about possibly replacing K-A. A few people who come to mind are Tom Ollman (parent, on facilities planning committee member and project manager at Shingobee Builders in St. Cloud), Paul Youngquist architect, administrators and board memebrs. |

7. MS-HS Principal's Weekly Staff Newsletter
Description:
Mr. Swenson writes a weekly announcement letter for his teachers and staff each week. On January 10th he shared positive information about our RAMP-Up program here in Royalton. The U of M met with Joel and another principal from Becker. "It turns out that they have been very impressed with our Ramp-up Program and consider us one of the leading schools in the state. They were very impressed by how our teachers present the program to students and how we have implemented the program with fidelity. They have invited me to help work with coordinators in the 2014-15 schools as they plan to build their Ramp-up programs," Joel Swenson. |

9. Invoice for STAR Assessments
Description:
Please find attached an invoice to Renaissance Learning for the purchase of STAR Reading and Math Assessments for 3 years . The assessments in grades 7-12 will be administered throughout the year by our teachers. Our MS/HS hasn't had it's own local assessments to support students in progress monitoring. We've instead waited until the end-of-year summative assessments (MCA, ACT). These new assessments have been on the teachers request list for a couple of years now. It is also what we spent 2 days of staff development on back in June. |
