8.2. Kindergarten Enrollment-Staffing Needs
Description:
We have a total of 138 enrolled for kindergarten, we have 105 for K enrichment ( meaning five days a week) and 33 for the four day option. This is a difficult number since, even with putting an EA in that classroom, 33 is too many for the four day option. Dividing the classroom into two would mean two relatively small classes of 16/17. These two might also lose a couple of students if they are assessed for SPED and moved to a five day classroom. The cost of adding another classroom is approx. $40,000. It is the recommendation of the adm. that we add the second four day a week classroom. |
