Description:
(The Board of Education may convene into closed session to discuss confidential matters, and may take action upon reconvening into open session only during regular or special board meetings. No action can be taken on a specific agenda item unless it has been posted on that particular agenda. The Board is permitted to discuss various items in closed session, including but not limited to: collective bargaining, pending or imminent litigation, sale/purchase/lease of property, student discipline, and the appointment, employment compensation, discipline, performance, dismissal of specific employees. The motion to convene into closed session will state the specific reason(s).

VI. Public Comment 7:03 p.m.
Description:
(This part of the meeting is devoted to allowing members of the public to address the Board concerning a specific topic of Board business. Under Board Policy 2:230, the following rules apply to public comments:
1. Address the Board only at the appropriate time as indicated on the agenda ("Public Comment"). 2. Individuals wishing to speak are to sign in on the sheets available at the entry to the meeting. 3. Using the microphone provided, state your name, address, and the topic you wish to address. Public comments are audio and video recorded to fully capture comments and concerns. 4. Individual time for comment is limited to 3 minutes. Because this is a Regular meeting of the Board, the regular business of the Board must be conducted. As a result, the total amount of time devoted to public comment will be 60 minutes. 5. If multiple individuals wish to address the Board on the same topic, the group is encouraged to appoint a spokesperson. 6. Please be civil and respectful. The Board President has the ability to maintain order and decorum. Note that the Board does not respond to public comments. If your comment requires further investigation or administrative action, the Board will inform the Superintendent of further action required.) |
