Description:
Summer curriculum work allows for dedicated time for Professional Learning Teams to align standards, develop instructional materials, and build assessments beyond the traditional school year. Summer curriculum work is coordinated by administrators, supported by teacher leaders, and aligns with instructional priorities. Summer curriculum work is important because it allows for robust development of curriculum, instruction, and assessment when school year instruction is not ongoing concurrently, and materials can be implemented for the start of the school year.
A summary of this summer's work from Dr. Noisey is included. |

VIII.A. Evidence-Based Funding Update
Description:
Last month during the budget approval process, I let you know that we did not have final numbers for our Evidence-Based Funding (EBF) from the state. I estimated that we would remain in Tier I and continue to receive additional funding. The state released the EBF numbers this week. We have indeed stayed in Tier 1 and are receiving just over $525,00 more. I have included a summary sheet provided by the state for your information. We based our budgeted amount on a three-year average of what we had received in previous years, and utilized a conservative 8% increase, but this year the Tier allocation was less for all districts. Our budgeted amount was just over $187,000 more than what we are receiving. We already plan to present an amended budget to the Board in the winter, so we will include the change in EBF in the amended budget, and work to close the gap that creates. |
