V.D. School Report Card Updates and Timeline
Description:
Effective for the 2025 Report Card, ISBE has adopted new, unified assessment performance levels and recalibrated proficiency benchmarks. Previous proficiency benchmarks were found to be misaligned and overly difficult, often "mislabeling" students as not proficient when they were, in fact, ready for college and career expectations. The new benchmarks are intended to be "right-sized" to align state assessment scores with actual college and career readiness, using data from real college course placement and success rates.
The data collection window for the 2025 Illinois School Report Card is now closed, and the Educator Preview is now open for administrative preview through October 30, when it will be released to the public. |
