12. Unfinished Business  

12.a. Seating of School Board Member Appointee - President Bonds
Maria Simoncelli will take the oath of office and be seated as a member of the Fremont School District 79 Board of Education.  Mrs. Simoncelli was selected by board members on December 19, 2016, to fill the seat vacated by Mrs. Michele Kreis, who resigned from the board November 19, 2016.  Mrs. Simoncella will serve the remainder of Mrs. Kreis's term of office, which is up at the April 2017 election.

12.b. Election of Board Secretary - President Bonds
President Bonds will appoint a Secretary protem and call for nominations for board secretary.  The secretary protem will call the roll. President Bonds will declare the election of board secretary, who will serve until the April 2017 election.

12.c. Presentation of Resolution to Regulate Expense Reimbursements - Dr. Gildea
A resolution regulating the maximum allowable reimbursement for travel, meal and lodging expenses and the types of official business for which reimbursements for travel, meals and lodging expenses are allowed will be presented. It is expected that the board will vote on approving the resolution at tonight's meeting.

13. New Business

13.a. Presentation of the 2017-2022 Agreement Between the Fremont Board of Education and the Fremont Education Association 
The Agreement Between the Fremont School District 79 Board of Education and the Fremont Education Association (FEA), which was ratified on January 3, 2017, by the FEA will be presented for acceptance by the Board.  It is expected that the board will vote on accepting the agreement at tonight's meeting.

13.b. Designate the Superintendent and Director of Business to Prepare the Estimated 2017-18 Budget -  Mr. Tanner
February marks the beginning of the budget cycle for the 2017-2018 school year.  It is expected that at tonight's meeting the board will act on authorizing the superintendent and director of business to begin the budget process for the next school year.

13.c. Review of the 2017-18, 2018-19, 2019-20 School Year School Calendars - Dr. Gildea
School calendars for 2017-18,  2018-19, and 2019-20 will be presented for review and a first reading.

13.d. Recommendation to Approve Capital Projects Planned for Summer FY2017/18 - Mr. Tanner
The administration's recommended summer capital projects will be presented and reviewed.  They include the middle school bathroom remodel project, the intermediate school open classrooms project, and the elementary classroom renovations project.  It is expected that the board will vote on approval at tonight's meeting.
