1. Call Meeting to Order, Roll Call & Establishment of a Quorum.
Description:
“I shall call this meeting of the Banquete ISD to order. Let the record show that a quorum of board members is present, that this meeting has been duly called, and that notice of the meeting has been posted in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Chapter 551.”

2. Invocation, Pledge of Allegiance, Mission & Vision
Description:

3. Public Participation (Open Forum) as per Policy BED (LOCAL):
Description:
In accordance with board policy BED LOCAL, the Banquete ISD Board of Trustees welcomes comments from citizens on any agenda items or non-agenda items at any regular scheduled board meeting. In the event of a special board meeting/board workshop, public comments will be limited to agenda items only. Those wishing to address the school board must provide their name for the record and observe a three-minute time limit. During this time, the Board of Trustees may not respond to the citizens' concerns as per the Texas Open Meetings Act. |

4. Discuss and Consider Approval of the 2025 Financial Audit
Description:
State law requires the District to undergo an annual independent financial audit. The audit for Fiscal Year 2025 has been completed and reviewed by administration and the independent auditing firm. The audit examines the District’s financial statements, internal controls, and compliance with applicable regulations.
The audit report reflects the District’s financial position and operational compliance for the 2025 fiscal year. Administration has reviewed the findings and recommendations and has determined that the audit meets statutory requirements. Any noted findings and management responses are included in the report. |

5. Discuss and Consider Approval of Budget Amendment #2026-002
Description:
Budget amendments are periodically necessary to ensure that the District’s financial plan reflects actual expenditures, revenues, and operational needs. The proposed amendments adjust line items and/or fund balances to support district programs and services. Administration has reviewed current budget performance and recommends the proposed amendments to maintain fiscal responsibility and compliance with state and local requirements. These amendments reflect changes in program needs, expenditures, and/or funding sources. |

6. Discuss and Acknowledge the Superintendent’s Intent to Post a Request for Proposals (RFP) Using the Competitive Sealed Proposal Method for a General Contractor for the New Junior High School
