Description:

IV. Public Comment
Description:
At this time, the President of the Board of Education will recognize visitors and ask if any citizen of the community is interested in speaking to members of the Board of Education. Time allowed will generally be limited to three minutes for each individual, unless waived by the President. All individuals who wish to address the Board of Education must sign up in advance. The President may limit the opportunity to address the Board in cases where a person has previously addressed the Board on the same or related subject. Issues brought to the Board prior to being channeled through the proper chain of command will be referred back to the appropriate level.

Description:
Tricia DeBrock has submitted a letter of intent to retire effective at the end of the 2027-2028 school year. Mrs. DeBrock will retire under Option 1 of the 2022-2028 EMEA Collective Bargaining Agreement, with 22 years of district service. Mrs. DeBrock’s current assignment is special education teacher at Glenview Middle School. Karen McGuire has submitted a letter of intent to retire effective at the end of the 2028-2029 school year. Mrs. McGuire will retire under Option 1 of the 2022-2028 EMEA Collective Bargaining Agreement, with 28 years of district service. Mrs. McGuire’s current assignment is speech-language pathologist at Wells Elementary. Victoria McKay has submitted a letter of intent to retire effective at the end of the 2028-2029 school year. Mrs. McKay will retire under Option 1 of the 2022-2028 EMEA Collective Bargaining Agreement, with 29 years of district service. Mrs. McKay’s current assignment is fourth grade at Hillcrest Elementary. |

Allison Steafken has been employed as a special education instructional aide at Bowlesburg Elementary, effective November 11, 2024. Valeria Rico has been employed as a special education instructional aide at Bowlesburg Elementary, effective November 11, 2024. Lisamarie Flores has been employed as an early childhood instructional aide at the Early Learning Center, effective October 28, 2024. Tara Schofield has been employed as a secretary at the Early Learning Center, effective November 25, 2024 Ketra Loftin has been employed as a playground aide at Wells Elementary, effective December 16, 2024. |
