Description:

IV. Public Comment
Description:
At this time, the President of the Board of Education will recognize visitors and ask if any citizen of the community is interested in speaking to members of the Board of Education. Time allowed will generally be limited to three minutes for each individual, unless waived by the President. All individuals who wish to address the Board of Education must sign up in advance. The President may limit the opportunity to address the Board in cases where a person has previously addressed the Board on the same or related subject. Issues brought to the Board prior to being channeled through the proper chain of command will be referred back to the appropriate level.

VI.5.a. Personnel - Classified - Unpaid Leave of Absence
Description:
Kimberly Senteras has requested unpaid leave from January 5, 2022 through January 10, 2022, for personal reasons. Ms. Senteras works as an instructional aide at Ridgewood Elementary. Chloe White has requested unpaid leave from her responsibilities as a bus monitor from January 13, 2022 through March 13, 2022. This request is for maternity and childcare leave. May Turner has requested an extension of her unpaid leave through February 28, 2022, for medical reasons. Ms. Turner will return to work as an administrative assistant on March 1, 2022. |

Description:
Kimberly Friedli has requested unpaid leave from her teaching responsibilities at Hillcrest Elementary on May 12, 13, and 15, 2022. This request is for personal reasons.

Description:
Christina Martinez has been employed as a 5.75-hour general kitchen helper at Glenview Middle School effective January 24, 2022, and promoted to a 6.5-hour general kitchen helper effective February 7, 2022. Deanette Irizarry has been employed as a six-hour bus driver, effective February 7, 2022. Ms. Irizarry was previously employed as a four-hour bus driver. Traci Grimm has been employed as a 4-hour bus monitor, effective January 24, 2022. Robin Lampe has been employed as a 4-hour bus monitor, effective February 7, 2022. Miguel Miranda Aguilar has been employed as a custodian effective February 7, 2022. Safa Ahmed has been employed as a 2-hour general kitchen helper at Glenview Middle School, effective February 7, 2022. Katelynn Agan has been employed as an Instructional Support aide at Ridgewood Elementary, effective February 24, 2022. Cody Vroman has been employed as Head Football Coach at Glenview Middle School, effective August 8, 2022. Mr. Vroman previously served as Assistant Football Coach. |

Description:
The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee of the public or against legal counsel for the public body to determine its validity. However, a meeting to consider an increase in compensation to a specific employee of a public body that is subject to the Local Government Wage Increase Transparency Act may not be closed and shall be open to the public and posted and held in accordance with this Act. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1).
