5.1. Consideration to approve the 2019/20 Distance Learning Grading.

Administration
Description:
The administration has worked very hard to develop guidelines for grading due to distance learning. We have ensured that these guidelines are in compliance with the intent of the Commissioner's guidelines. We also have created these guidelines to help us attack the inequities for student learning that distance learning has brought to light. Since the grading is part of the handbooks, which was approved last summer, we are requesting your approval to change the handbook for the 19-20 school year due to distance learning and the guidance from MDE.

5.2. Graduation update

Description:
The administration has worked very hard to find ways to honor the seniors (this is continuing) since the traditional graduation can not be implemented-per the Governor's Order and MDE Guidelines. The administration, along with input from students, staff, and parents have created a procedure that falls within the guidance of MDE. More detailed planning will occur in the final week before the event, but all these details will support keeping our students, families, and community members safe and healthy and will continue the efforts of our Governor to slowing COVID 19 down.
