6.2.1. Recommendation to Accept Insurance Bid from South Central Service Co-op/Blue Cross.
Description:
Under the new mandated HITA process this year, LSH was required to put our group health insurance out for bids, as a stand alone product, for a two year term. We were able to accept a bid from the South Central Cooperative to remain in the Co-Op.After receiving the bids, sharing them with the insurance committee, getting input from our local agent of record The Canopy Group, and getting input from an independent company, OPTUM, we are recommending that we accept the bid from the South Central Co-op/Blue Cross, to remain in the Co-op for two more years, both for pricing and for best value in coverage for our staff in our area clinics.
