II. Consent Agenda 
Motion:  The Board of Education approve the consent agenda to include the following items:

II.A. unpaid leave of absence for Pinecrest teacher, Katherine Fisher for the 2018-2019 school year

II.B. unpaid leave of absence for Marble paraprofessional, Sarah Zimmerman for the 2018-2019 school year 

II.C. hiring of Nicole Pell, 1.0 FTE Glencairn teacher at BA Step 1 level, effective the first teacher day of the 2018-2019 school year

II.D. hiring of Whitney Sell, 1.0 FTE Glencairn teacher at MA Step 3 level, effective the first teacher day of the 2018-2019 school year 

II.E. hiring of Jessica Field, 1.0 FTE MacDonald Middle School English Language Arts teacher at MA  Step 3 level, effective the first teacher day of the 2018-2019 school year 

II.F. hiring of Abby Kaufmann, 1.0 FTE East Lansing High School English Language Arts teacher at BA Step 1 level, effective the first teacher day of the 2018-2019 school year 

III. Public Comment:    This is the opportunity to address the Board.  Speakers are to confine their remarks to five minutes.  If a speaker requires more than five minutes, after all other persons who have requested to speak during this part of the meeting have spoken, that speaker will be allowed additional time.  The Superintendent or other district staff may comment to clear up or avoid significant misunderstandings. 

IV. Action Items

IV.A. Athletics and Activities Director Contract
Motion:  The Board of Education approve the employee contract for Nichole Norris, East Lansing High School Director of Athletics and Activities, as presented. 

IV.B. Fiber Infrastructure Maintenance Agreement
Motion:  The Board of Education approve the one-year contract with FiberLink for fiber infrastructure maintenance in an amount not to exceed $45,000.
