Motion:  The Board of Education approve the consent agenda to include the following items:

III.A. hiring of Kristen Granger, .40 FTE English as a Second Language teacher at MA Step 5.5 level, effective August 29, 2017

III.B. hiring of Karen Delaney, 1.0 FTE Marble Elementary teacher at MA Step 5 level, effective August 29, 2017

III.C. hiring of Amanda Schneider, 1.0 FTE Pinecrest elementary teacher at BA Step 1  level, effective August 29, 2017, pending the approval of her teaching certificate from the Michigan Department of Education. This is a one year position

III.D. hiring of Aram Kabodian, .60 FTE Language Arts teacher at MacDonald Middle School at BA Step 1 level, effective August 29, 2017

VII.A. Architect and Construction Management Contract Amendments
Motion:  The Board of Education approve the first amendment to the contract with GMB Architecture and Engineering as presented.  

VII.B. Read 180 Curriculum for High School
Motion:  The Board of Education approve the purchase of the Read 180 intervention program for the high school at a cost of $28,077.50, to be paid from the 2017-18 Curriculum Budget for the high school.

Motion:  The Board of Education approve the revisions to Policy 8300 - Student Discipline as presented by the Policy Committee.
