III.A. East Lansing Basketball Club donated $6,250 to Middle School Interscholastic Sports Program

III.B. Congratulations to Representative Sam Singh for being the new Democratic Leader in the Michigan House of Representatives. And, for his outstanding support of public education including the Females in STEM program in East Lansing.

III.C. Xzavier Odom, ELHS Senior, will be awarded a $5,000 scholarship at the Greater Lansing Area Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Commission's Annual Luncheon on Monday, January 16. Xzavier earned this award for an essay he submitted in their annual contest. At the next regular meeting of the Board of Education on January 23, Xzavier will be present to read his award winning essay.

IX. Public Comment: This is the opportunity to address the Board. Speakers are to confine their remarks to five minutes. The Superintendent or other district staff may comment to clear up or avoid significant misunderstandings.

Motion: The Board of Education approve the reclassification of the ELL paraprofessional position to Category 3. |
X.D. Bond Election - Preliminary Qualification Application
Motion: The Board of Education approve the Application for Preliminary Qualification of Bonds as presented by the Administration, authorize the Board Secretary to execute that Application and direct the Administration to file the same with the Michigan Department of Treasury. |
