3. DISMISS TO EXECUTIVE SESSION
Representatives of the news media and designated staff shall/shall not* be allowed to attend. All other members of the audience are asked to leave the room. Representatives of the news media are specifically directed to not report on any of the deliberations during the executive session, except to state the general subject of the session as previously announced. No decision may be made in executive session, except for a student expulsion. At the end of the executive session, we will return to open session. *"Shall not" refers to the four exceptions: student expulsions, consultation with labor negotiators, discussing student medical or educational records, and cases in which they or their media organization are involved in litigation with the district that will be discussed during the executive session. |

The Board welcomes comments and questions from the public. If you wish to address the Board, please fill out a public participation sheet available at the table and give it to the Board Secretary. We ask that you limit your comments to three (3) minutes. The Board will not engage in discussion with members of the public during this time, it is for public comment only. The Board Chair has the discretion to limit the number of comments on a particular topic. Speakers may offer objective criticism of school operations and programs, but the Board will not hear comments regarding individual school personnel or board members.
