9.A. Consent Agenda

The Lane ESD
Board of Directors has agreed to implement a consent agenda. All items in the consent agenda are adopted
by a single motion unless a member of the Board or the Superintendent requests
that such item be removed from the consent agenda and acted upon separately.
Generally, consent agenda items are matters which members of the Board agree are routine in nature and should be acted upon in one motion to conserve time and to enable the Board to focus on the other matters on the agenda. Back-up materials for consent agenda items are included in the agenda packet as needed. Minutes of this meeting will reflect action on each item. If any board member wishes to withdraw any consent group item, it will be moved to the appropriate section of the agenda. 9.B. Accept Financial Report for July 2019

BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Directors of Lane ESD accepts the Financial Report for July 2019.

9.C. Authorize Award of Contract for Roof Replacement
Presenter:

Description:
Lane ESD received four re-roof
project proposals. Of the four, Pressure Point Roofing and Evergreen were
the only contractors that indicated they could complete the job before the
rainy season begins. Pressure Point Roofing's bid came in
significantly lower than Evergreen. Lane ESD finds Pressure Point Roofing's product reputation and warranty are also more favorable.
Facilities Manager Brad Johnston met with engineers at Mortier Ang on August 1, and both Mr. Johnston and the engineers are confident with moving forward with Pressure Point Roofing. Pressure Point Roofing will be submitting an updated proposal to include the price of replacing skylights. Many of the skylights have blown gaskets and are showing signs of leaking. They need to be addressed with the roof. The cost will break down as follows:
The new roof system comes with a 20 year no dollar limit
warranty (meaning that it is not prorated like some
warranties). It also covers consequential damages for 15 years
if there were to be some kind of failure with the product. BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Directors of Lane ESD approves entering into a contract with Pressure Point Roofing to replace the roofing at the main campus of Lane ESD. |

• The next regular meeting is scheduled to be held Tuesday, September 3, 2018, at the Lane ESD Administrative Offices, 1200 Hwy 99N. A work session will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. to plan for the evaluation of the Superintendent.
