6.A. Consent Agenda

Description:
The Lane ESD
Board of Directors has agreed to implement a consent agenda. All items in the consent agenda are adopted
by a single motion unless a member of the Board or the Superintendent requests
that such item be removed from the consent agenda and acted upon separately.
Generally, consent agenda items are matters which members of the Board agree are routine in nature and should be acted upon in one motion to conserve time and to enable the Board to focus on the other matters on the agenda. Back-up materials for consent agenda items are included in the agenda packet as needed. Minutes of this meeting will reflect action on each item. If any board member wishes to withdraw any consent group item, it will be moved to the appropriate section of the agenda. The Board of Directors of Lane ESD will read policy updates for the first time. Action to approve policies will be scheduled for the May 1, 2018 Board meeting. Administrative Rule updates are listed as a courtesy to Board members, for their information only.

7.E.1. IIBGA-AR(1) - Use of LaneNet
Description:
This administrative rule will be deleted. It refers to a system that Lane ESD no longer uses.

7.E.2. IGAC - Teaching About Religion and IGACA - Teaching About Religion
Description:
OSBA is recommending ESDs delete its current versions of these policies and replace with this updated version of IGAC.
|

7.E.3. JHFE-AR - Abuse of a Child Investigations Conducted on Lane ESD Premises
Description:
The OSBA recommended language revises the procedure for investigations of child abuse on ESD property to coincide with the new form updated in Fall of 2017.
|

7.E.4. KBA-AR - Public Records
Description:
OSBA is recommending removing the word "certified" from the language around providing records (see item #6). A certified copy is not required.

7.E.5. GBH/JECAC and JECAC/GBH - Staff/Student/Parent Relations
Description:
This update is to accommodate the Oregon laws that relate to parental plans in case of separated or divorced parents.
