Public Comment Sign In Procedure - Anyone wishing to address the Board of Education must submit a written request form, found on the public’s table, prior to Public Comments.

The Board reserves the right to move into closed session to protect the public interest or needless injury to the reputation of an individual for any action item listed on the agenda. The Board may, at its discretion, change the order of the agenda to accommodate unforeseen issues related to an agenda item.

The Ralston Board of Education appreciates the public's right to provide public comment.  It is the practice of the Ralston Board to listen to the public comment, without discussion between the public and the Board.  Should you have a question or ask for follow-up from the Board, the Board President will direct the Superintendent to address the requests and provide additional information to you as appropriate.  We ask that you refrain from personal comments about individuals and the use of vulgar or inappropriate language in addressing the Board. 

At this time the Ralston Public Schools Board of Education will entertain public comment.

Rationale:  Mr. Jason Buckingham will welcome guide a discussion and report from our District Auditor about the results of our recent District Audit.

Rationale:  Dr. Rupprecht and Dr. Adler will present an informational session to the Board of Education about processes and procedures used in the District Recruitment and Retention Process.  This is part of the continuing Board Development Educational Series.

AdvancEd Standard 1.9 The system provides experiences that cultivate and improve leadership effectiveness.  Policy 2003 Development and Education of Board Members.  

 

Rationale:  Dr. Adler will outline the results and themes from the mid-year superintendent evaluation completed by each Board of Education Member on his performance and progress on the established goals.  A discussion in open session will be completed leading to a potential superintendent contract renewal at the December 10, 2018 meeting of the Board of Education.

Rationale: 

Dr. Adler and Mrs. Richards will update the Board regarding Legislative issues.

Rationale:  Dr. Jay Irwin will update the Board of Education on items and information that is under consideration with the Nebraska Association of School Boards.

Rationale:  Mr. Jason Buckingham will present the results of the recent bid proposal opening to complete the replacement of the Ralston High School Gym Bleachers.  Mr. Buckingham will ask the Board of Education to approve a bid recommendation based upon the information that has been analyzed and will be presented.
