IV. Budget Hearing
Description:
Each year the Board of Education is required to adopt a budget for the fiscal year and hold a budget hearing by September 30th. Prior to adopting the budget, a legal notice must be placed in a newspaper of local circulation notifying the public of the tentative budget and budget hearing. In addition, the proposed/tentative budget must be placed on public display for a minimum of 30 days. All these requirements have been met. I have attached the updated state budget form, expenditure and revenue detail. Both the expenditure and revenue detail include all changes highlighted in yellow since the budget has been on display. Description:
We have received two requests for information under the Freedom of Information Act. Both of the requests came from the same person, one day apart. The first request was asking for a list of all books in circulation at Kelvin Grove and a separate list of all the books in circulation at Milne Grove. Specifically, the lists included the book title, author, and Dewey decimal system coding. The second request was to review our Annual Financial Reports (AFRs) from the 2011-12 school year through 2019-20 school year. IX.A. School Maintenance Grant FY23
Description:
Over the course of the FY21 and FY22 school years, District 91 was able to attain the School Maintenance Grant through the state of IL to replace all the windows and doors in the pod at Kelvin Grove for FY21 and brand new boilers at Kelvin Grove in FY22. We have an opportunity to apply for the same matching grant for FY23 and would like input and direction from the school board on how to proceed with the grant application. After meeting with Mr. Pierson multiple times, we would like to utilize the funding to assist the district in adding electronic key fobs to interior and/or exterior doors to comply with our goal of safety/security for our students and staff.

X.B. Presentation of Teacher and Administrator Salary & Benefit Report
Description:
Under School Code Section 10-20.47, the District is required to post on its website information about administrator and teacher salary and benefits. This report does not include service personnel or support staff. The full text of the section is below.
105 ILCS 5/10-20.47: Administrator and teacher salary and benefits; report. Each school board shall report to the State Board of Education, on or before October 1 of each year, the base salary and benefits of the district superintendent and all administrators and teachers employed by the school district. For the purposes of this Section, "benefits" includes without limitation vacation days, sick days, bonuses, annuities, and retirement enhancements. Prior to this annual reporting to the State Board of Education, the information must be presented at a regular school board meeting, subject to applicable notice requirements, and then posted on the Internet website of the school district, if any. This report is based on the preceding fiscal year salaries and benefits. The report will be forwarded to ISBE and posted on the District web page. |

X.C. Principals and Curriculum Coordinator Goals w/Indicators for 2022-2023
Description:
As part of the D91 Principals and Curriculum Coordinator Administrative Contracts, it requires a list of the goals and indicators to be identified that can be used in the evaluation process as well as contract renewal. During the first weeks of school, Dr. Wilkey scheduled meetings with both building principals and the curriculum coordinator to develop their goals and develop the indicators that will be evaluated this upcoming year. On Tuesday evening you will find the 2022-2023 goals and indicators for Mr. Jennings, Mrs. Koziol, and Ms. Rae included under extras in the agenda.
