The topic of the Board Work Session held on September 13, 2017, included a Quarryview Education Center Update. Dr. Marsha Baisch, Assistant Superintendent, will provide a summary of the Work Session topic, as well as the New Tech High School Update, which was presented during the Board meeting on September 13th.
Dr. Baisch will preview the topics scheduled for the October Work Session, which will include a New Tech High School Update, a Career and Technical Education Presentation, and the Annual Superintendent Evaluation. |

Description:
Tracy Flynn Bowe, Executive Director of Human Resources, will review a Memorandum of Agreement regarding a 5% increase in District health insurance contributions for the following non-licensed bargaining units effective October 1, 2017: Bus Drivers, Clerical Employees, Paraprofessional Employees, Sign Language Interpreters. If approved, the increase would also be applied to Non-Represented employee groups of the District. Information is attached.
The Administration recommends approval of the Memorandum of Agreement.

The Board Development, Policy, and Governance Committee has discussed the purchase of laptop computers to be used for "paperless" Board meetings. VI.G. Quarryview Education Center Change Orders Totaling -$1,962.61
Description:
The Administration recommends approval of the following change orders for the above named project.
- Change Order #2 with Full Spectrum Finishing Inc. in the amount of -$19,400.00 for design change for applied floor coverings. - Change Order #1 with Boser Construction Inc. in the amount of +$3,421.00 for framing size changes, wall details, door frames and brick patterns. - Change Order #4 with Ellingson Plumbing, Heating, A/C & Electrical in the amount of +$1,070.00 to add floor sink for dishwasher. - Change Order #4 with McDowall Company in the amount of +$189.00 to change location and/or style of compact unit heaters. - Change Order #6 with K Johnson Construction Inc in the amount of +$1,239.47 for modification of east curb line of east entrance. - Change Order #7 with K Johnson Construction Inc in the amount of -$8,548.00 to eliminate concrete island, sidewalk, curb and gutter in parking lot and replace with asphalt paving. - Change Order #8 with St. Cloud Sprinkler Co. Inc. in the amount of +$20,065.92 to add 115 sprinkler heads and related materials to front parking area which was disturbed in construction of the new storm water retention pond designs. This project is funded with Lease Levy Funds. |
