A recommended option includes completing a school board self-evaluation. Other options would be a general mid-year or end of the year check in. It would be best to have a workshop to go over this process with MSBA sometime in the next month or two. 5. MASA/MASE Spring Conference is on March 9-10 in person. Carla and I are registered and plan to attend the conference. 6. If you are planning on attending graduation on May 26 in the evening, please let Angel know. |

6. AMEND 2022-2023 SCHOOL YEAR CALENDAR
Description:
MN Statute 120A.41 sets a required number of days and hours for students. Becker School District Policy 602, Article IV, Subd. C states that proposed changes in the school day shall be subject to review and approval by the school board.
With the recent inclement weather days, contracted staff days must be made up. Students in grades 1-11 require 165 days of school. Students need the following minimum hours in grade K need 850; 1-6 needs 935; 7-12 needs 1020. To ensure we are above the required hours, I recommend seniors final day to be Friday, May 26. 2023 and, require staff to make up their day on Monday, June 5, 2023. We will work with administration and involved staff to develop a plan for this make-up day.
