4. River Falls High School PLC Presentation
Description:
Background: Lisa Goihl, River Falls High School Assistant Principal, will provide committee members with and update on the ongoing implementation and current work being accomplished in Professional Learning Communities at the high school.

5. Overview of current technology and device implementation in RFSD
Description:
Background: District Administration and staff will present committee members with an overview of the district's implementation of devices, their utilization and their instructional impact as well as strategies that the district has taken to support student safety. Future action steps and planning will also be shared with committee members specific to how the district will continue to focus on student data privacy and ongoing professional development for staff.

6. Approve the first readings of board policies 342.5 Title I; 342.5-Rule Title I guidelines; and 341.1 Reading Instruction
Description:
Background: Jennifer Peterson, Director of Academic Services, will present the first readings of the revised board policies 342.5 Title I; 342.5-Rule Title I guidelines; and 341.1 Reading Instruction. These policies have been updated to ensure compliance with all state guidelines specific to Title I and Reading Instruction and align with program implementation in the River Falls School District.
Recommended Action: Approve the first readings of board policies 342.5 Title I Programming; 342.5-Rule Student, Parent and Family Engagement in Title I Programs; and 341.1 Reading Instruction. |
7. Approve Summer School 2020 course list
Description:
Background: Jennifer Peterson, Director of Academic Services, will present committee members with Summer School 2020 session schedules and a list of summer school course descriptions for approval. Additional information will be presented to committee members including location, program highlights, equitable opportunities available for students during our program this summer, registration updates, and a current enrollment outlook.
Recommended Action: Approve Summer School 2020 courses. |
8. Approve the 2020-21 CESA Shared Service Contract
Description:
Background: Jennifer Peterson, Director of Academic Services, will present the 2020-21 CESA 11 Shared Services Contract for approval. The School District of River Falls anticipates contracting for the identified services provided during the 2020-21 school year. Services are remaining consistent for the upcoming school year and a memo outlining cost comparisons over a three year period is also provided to board members for your convenience.
Recommended Action: Approve the 2020-21 CESA Shared Service Contract. |
9. Approve the continuation of the Girl’s Hockey Coop
Description:
Background: Jennifer Peterson, Director of Academic Services, will present committee members with the 2020-21 Girl's Hockey Co-op renewal application for approval. WIAA requires that co-op's be approved by the Board of Education on an annual basis. Renewals for winter sports are due by April 1st of the year preceding the school year being applied for. This is a continuation of our current Girl's Hockey Co-op.
Recommended Action: Approve the continuation of the Girl’s Hockey Coop. |
10. Approve the final field trip applications for the 8th grade Washington DC trip, the State FFA Career Development Event Contest, the Wisconsin FFA State Convention and the FFA Officer Leadership Retreat
Description:
Background: Jennifer Peterson, Director of Academic Services, will present committee members with final field trip applications for the 8th grade Washington DC trip, the State FFA Career Development Event Contest, the Wisconsin FFA State Convention and the FFA Officer Leadership Retreat for approval. All preliminary field trip applications have been previously approved.

11. Approve the final field trip application for the FBLA State Competition
Description:
Background: Jennifer Peterson, Director of Academic Services, will present committee members with the FBLA State Competition final field trip application for approval. This trip is scheduled for March 29-31, 2020.
