3. Consideration and/or Action to grant emergency decision making authority to the Superintendent and/or Director of Human Resources in consultation with the Board President
Description:
Background: This temporary authority is warranted during this COVID -19 era. Discretionary administrative judgement is required as many instructional, operational, and overall day-to-day decision-making is necessary.
Recommended Action: Approve granting emergency decision making authority to the Superintendent and/or Director of Human Resources in consultation with the Board President. |
4. Consideration and/or Action to suspend Policy 151- Board Policy Development
Description:
Background: By suspending Policy 151, the Board will not be required to have TWO readings of any/all policy revisions.
Recommended Action: Approve suspending Policy 151- Board Policy Development. |
5. Consideration and/or Action to create an alternate policy to temporarily replace Policy 188- Remote Board Member Participation in Meetings to allow all Board members to participate in remote locations
Description:
Background: Due to the open meetings law, the Board will create an alternative policy to temporarily replace existing Policy 188-Remote Board Member Participation in Meetings which currently only allows for up to three Board members to participate remotely. In this era of COVID-19 (and the need for social distancing) Board's are allowed to have all Board members participate in meetings from their own remote location.
Recommended Action: Approve temporary alternative emergency Policy 188- Remote Board Member Participation in Meetings to allow all Board members to participate in remote locations due to COVID-19 social distancing concerns. |
6. Approve the distribution of letters of intent to eligible certified staff
Description:
Background: Under the terms of Wisconsin Statute 118.22, on or before May 15 of the school year during which a teacher holds a contract, the Board by which the teacher is employed shall give the teacher written notice renewal or refusal to renew the teacher’s contract for the ensuing school year.
Recommended Action: Approve the distribution of letters of intent to eligible certified staff. |
7. Approve revised 2020-21 Certified Staffing Plan
Description:
Background: The Board will finalize the 2020-21 High School Certified Staffing Plan.

8. Approve revised Health Partners Health Insurance Renewal
Description:
Background: In response to recent events, the Health Insurance Study Committee is recommending entering into a two-year agreement with Health Partners. Plan design options will not change. The premium will increase by 5% for 2020-21 and no more than 8% for 2021-22.
Recommended Action: Approve revised Health Partners Health Insurance Renewal. |
