3.A. Glen Crest Student Spotlight features Ink2Mic. Ink2Mic is a club for both writers and artists. Students create- and then bring their piece of life. With the help of Mrs. Cannizzo, Mrs. O’Connell, Mrs. Hardtke, and Mr. Wolf, students will create a variety of pieces of writing and art to prepare for a one-night-only showcase. This could be poetry, music, a short story, abstract, painting, sketch, etc.

3.B. Glen Crest musicians had a successful day at the Illinois Grade School Music Association (IGSMA) solo & ensemble contest on Saturday, February 22nd. The contest was hosted at Erickson Elementary School in Bloomingdale. Katie Berry, Lev Garbar, Kristi Kline and Andrew Ladendorf are proud of the hard work and dedication of all the students who participated. Special recognition is given to the following musicians for their achievements:

7.A. Vision 2030 Superintendent Eccarius will share Illinois Vision 2030, which represents the second time education stakeholders fostered collaboration and unity among education organizations across the state to create an advocacy framework for public education in Illinois. Over 500 school districts have passed resolutions supporting this framework.

7.B. Registration/Enrollment/Staffing (Strategic Plan: High-quality staff; Academic success; and Effective use of resources) Superintendent Eccarius will discuss our current enrollment, concerns about timely registration, and the impacts on staffing.

12. Closed Session
The Board will enter into closed session to discuss the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the District or legal counsel for the District, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee of the District or against legal counsel for the District to determine its validity as allowed by Section 2 5ILCS 120/2(c)(1), to discuss collective negotiating matters between the District and its employees or their representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees as allowed by Section 2 5ILCS 120/2(c)(2), to discuss student disciplinary cases as allowed by Section 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(9) and for the purpose of litigation, when an action against, affecting or on behalf of the District has been filed and is pending before a court or administrative tribunal, or when the public body finds that an action is probable or imminent, in which the basis for the finding shall be recorded and entered into the minutes of the closed meeting as allowed by Section 2 5ILCS 120/2(c)(11). |
