Description:

Description:
The district solicited quotes for 40 desktop computers to equip the CTE computer lab at Brewer High School. After reviewing submissions, Dell Technologies has been selected as the vendor due to product quality and pricing.
The total cost of $48,638 will be funded through Carl Perkins funds. |

G.1. Consider Approval of Memorandum of Understanding with ESC Region 11 for Reading Academies
Description:
The Texas Education Agency (TEA) requires certain teachers to receive Reading Academy training. The district has three options for fulfilling this requirement. One option is to partner with an Authorized Provider to train designated district staff as Cohort Leaders, who will then train other district staff. This Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) establishes an agreement between WSISD and ESC Region 11 for this purpose.

G.2. Consider Approval of Vendor for the Purchase of Classroom Furniture for Fine Arts Academy at Tannahill School
Description:
The district closed RFP 2425-06 for the purchase of Classroom Furniture for Tannahill on February 27, 2025. This purchase will furnish classrooms for elementary students at Tannahill. A total of 7 responses were received and evaluated.
After review, Plano Office Supply has been selected as the vendor for this purchase. The total cost of $214,565 will be funded through bond funds. |

G.4. Consider Approval of Mentoring Program Services Agreement
Description:
The district has been presented with an agreement for mentoring program services for Brewer High School from Mentors Care, a nonprofit organization that provides mentorship to at-risk students to support academic success and personal growth.
The total annual cost of the program is $50,000. Mentors Care has secured a donation of $25,000 per year for two years to offset program costs. As a result, the district’s cost will be $25,000 per year. The first year’s cost will be included in the 2025-2026 budget.
