F.4. Consider Low Attendance Day Waiver
Description:
On October 24, 2022, BHS was evacuated due to a mechanical issue. Classes resumed after the all-clear was given. However, due to heavy rainfall at the time of the evacuation, many students were checked out of school early. This waiver allows the district or campus to request that any instructional days with attendance at least ten (10) points below the last school year's average attendance due to inclement weather, health, safety-related, or other issues be excused from ADA calculations for the current school year.
The district is recommending to apply for the low attendance day waiver for October 24, 2022 from TEA with school board approval due to the safety issue. |

F.5. Consider Ratification of Vendor for Furniture for the New Administration Building
Description:
The District released Request for Proposal (RFP) RFP #2223-002 for the purchase of furniture for the new Administration building. Two bids were received. FTW Safety and Industrial Supplies submitted the lowest bid at $75,000.
The budget was amended in October to cover the cost of renovations and furniture.

F.6. Consider Ratification of Vendors for Operations Vehicles
Description:
At the September 2022 School Board meeting, the Board approved the purchase of 5 new vehicles for Operations and Child Nutrition at a combined cost not to exceed $206,765. A 2022 Chevrolet Equinox SUV for Operations has been located at Moritz Chevrolet, LTD for $27,240 and a 2023 GMC Savana 2500 Van for Operations has been located at Jerry’s GM, LLC for $36,492.
The total combined cost for these 2 vehicles is $63,732 and was included in the September amended budget.

F.7. Consider Approval of Other Revenues Investment Policy - CDA (Local)
Description:
It is a legal requirement for this policy to be reviewed and approved by the School Board annually. An update to this policy was approved by the School Board on November 17, 2020. No changes have been made to the policy since that date.
The District is required to inform the board of any Public Funds Investment Act Legislation changes. No changes have been made since 2019. District's Investment Officer Training: Kim Alexander received the required 10 hours of training in November 2021 and September 2022.

F.8. Consider Approval to Purchase Marquee for New Administration Building
Description:
The District has requested quotes to purchase a Marquee for the new administration building. Due to potential supply chain delays and to keep the construction timeline on schedule, we will need to place the order for the marquee quickly, once all quotes have been received.
The cost for the marquee for the new administration building will not exceed $46,580 and the vendor is to be ratified at the next board meeting. The cost for this was included in the budget amendment for the renovations to the new administration building.

G.1. Consider Approval of Vendor for Cloud Based Data Protection
Description:
The district has received a quote from Weaver Technologies to purchase Dell PowerProtect Backup Service for Hybrid Workloads and APEX Backup Services. These services will ensure that our data is always safe, secure, and recoverable. The platform is always up to date with the latest features and security and will help to mitigate the risk of data loss due to unforeseen events and/or intentional cyber-attacks.
The cost is $59,891 and will be paid for out of the current technology budget.
