This agenda contains a list of subjects known at the time of its distribution. A copy of the agenda reflecting any changes will be available for public inspection during normal business hours in the District Office. This is the public’s opportunity to speak to items on the agenda. This is also the public’s opportunity to speak to other non-agenda topics concerning the school district - since it is not an agenda item the board cannot discuss or take action on the matter at this time. To be recognized, all participants must complete the Request to Address the Milford Board of Education Form. The District has established separate complaint procedures for any complaints, including complaints and concerns against individual employees. As such, the Board requests that this complaint process be followed before discussion with the Board takes place. Thank you for your participation.

Items to Point Out:

$13,900 to Gartner is to replace a heat pump at the high school.
$10,219.60 to Paper 101 is our 24-25 copy machine paper order through COOP Purchasing. We get a better price by purchasing this way. Storage of the paper is an issue, but we find locations.

Other Items:

General Fund expenditures are $78,318 higher than at this point last year or 0.84% higher.
1. Regular expenditures are down -$262,393 and Payroll is up $340,710.
Our cash on hand after the June expenditures is at $3,003,474.
1. This is just over 3 months of expenditures. A position we need to be in as we head towards July and August to make sure we have the money to pay expenditures the next 3 months before our next large revenue (property tax) arrives in September.
2. I wish it was a bit higher, but I feel we did a great job of controlling spending, so we could build up our cash on hand and not borrow money.
3. Cash flow will be an issue at the end of July and at the August board meeting, but should be better than I anticipated.

7.1. Review, Consider, and Take All Necessary Action on Interlocal Contract for Enrichment Activities Through the Southeast Nebraska Regional Program (Deaf or Hard of Hearing Services)

More Information: This is a yearly item. We are in a consortium for services for students that are deaf or hard of hearing. The program is organized by ESU 18 in Lincoln. Craig will need to sign the document after approval.

More Information: We are recommending keeping the rates the same as in 2023-24.
