4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - Governing Board President Andy Fraher
   

4.A. Consider approving the minutes from the Special Study and Voting Session meeting of March 31, 2023, as presented.

5. ACTION ITEMS
  

5.A. Recommended that the Governing Board approve the call for Executive session pursuant to A.R.S. Section 38-431.03(1) to interview candidates related to the employment of a District Superintendent. 
  
All persons present are hereby reminded that it is unlawful to disclose or otherwise divulge to any person who is not now present, other than a current member of the Board, or pursuant to a specific statutory exception, anything that has transpired or has been discussed during the executive session. Failure to comply is a violation of A.R.S. 38-431.03
  

5.B. Consider approving the minutes from the Executive Session of March 31, 2023, as presented.

RELEVANT INFORMATION: Board policy requires the approval of minutes.
  

5.C. Recommended that the Governing Board adjourn the Executive Session and reconvene the Governing Board Special meeting.
   

6. INFORMATION AND DISCUSSION ITEMS  
  

6.A. The Governing Board may discuss and may consider offering specific candidates the opportunity to participate in a final interview for the position of District Superintendent.
  

6.B. The Governing Board may discuss areas of interest regarding questions to be addressed during the final interviews and may consider directing the Arizona School Board Association (ASBA) to construct specific questions to be addressed during the final interviews for the position of District Superintendent.
  

6.C. The Governing Board may discuss and may consider specific plans for the finalist interview process inclusive of the scheduled community and staff forums for the position of District Superintendent. 
  

6.D. The Governing Board will discuss and consider setting a specific meeting date and time, after the community and staff forums, to discuss the finalists and possibly offer a specific finalist the opportunity to enter into contract negotiations for the position of District Superintendent.
