Tammy Golden, with four and a half years of service, Fariba Qubadi and Dena Zimmerman, both with less than one year of service, Melissa Nimmers with one year of service, and Elivia Nieto with twelve years of service.

VIII. Operations

VIII.A. Freedom of Information Act Requests (FOIA).... Information
Description:
The District received a FOIA request on August 1, 2024 from Oliva Allen with the Quad City Times requesting a copy of Jeffery (Jeff) Dase’s employment contract as the Rock Island-Milan School District’s Deputy Superintendent, to which he was officially hired for by the Rock Island-Milan Board of Education on Tuesday, July 23, 2024. The District responded via electronic mail on August 12th, 2024 with a redacted version of Mr. Dase's contract.
The District received a FOIA request on August 16th and responded within the five-day required time frame to Mr. Owen Wang from Rock Island Today. Mr. Wang requested a list of all teachers and staff in the District, the school name as well as their titles and salaries for the 2024 - 25 school year. The Rock Island - Milan School District provided the records requested via electronic report. |
IX. Executive Session
Description:
It is recommended that the Board of Education move to executive session to discuss the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body,including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee of the public body or against legal counsel for the public body to determine itsvalidity. 5 ILCS 120/2(c) (1). Collective negotiating matters between
the public body and its employees or their representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees. 5 ILCS 120/2(c) (2). |
