Description:
Recommendation: The school board election needs to be set and officials appointed to conduct the election on May 4, 2019. The election will be for position #1 (Harold Holloway), position #2 (Paul Barnett) and position #3 (Chad Steely). Candidates should file with Rhonda Brewer at Elkhart I.S.D. Administration office. Filing begins January 16, 2019 and ends February 15, 2019. Rhonda Brewer will serve as Early Voting Clerk and Rachell Glenn will serve as Deputy Voting Clerk. We will allow the Election Judge to select up to five clerks. Early voting will be held in the Elkhart I.S.D. Administration office from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Friday beginning Monday, April 22, 2019, through Tuesday, April 30, 2019, by personal appearance. January 1, 2019 will be the first day for accepting applications for early voting ballots to be voted by mail. The appointed Election Judge, Alternate Judge, and Clerks will count the early voting ballots on May 4, 2019. The election on May 4, 2019 will be held at the Elkhart First Baptist Church.
