11. Discussion/Action: Consider cafeteria prices for the 2016-17 school year.

Description:
We need to increase the prices again to be in line with mandated regulations from the Texas Department of Agriculture.

12. Discussion/Action: Consider adopting calendar for the 2016-17 school year.

Description:
The calendar committee met and developed calendars using recommendations as indicated by staff. R.J. DeFreece then created a Survey Monkey. The results were as follows: Calendar "A" - 90; Calendar "B" - 81.
As you can tell the vote was very close. Calendar "A" is 177 student days and 187 staff days. The total minutes is 75,915 which includes 8 early release days. Recommendation: Adopt Calendar A. |
13. Discussion: Technology presentation.

14. Discussion/Action: Approve the 2016-17 Elkhart I.S.D. Early Intervening Services Program Plan.

Description:
This is actually a two-year plan that was approved last year. There are no changes but need to approve plan as a formality.
Recommendation: Approve Early Intervening Services Program Plan as presented. |
15. Discussion/Action: Approve the 2016-17 Elkhart I.S.D. Emergency Operations Plan.

We made some major changes to the EOP this year so the only changes for next year will be: Added information on the Emergency Drill Records for 2016-17 school year which will be added at the end of the semester & An updated Emergency Contact List that will be added after school starts in the fall so we can gather everyone's most recent phone numbers Recommendation: Approve 2016-17 Elkhart I.S.D. Emergency Operations Plan. |
