Description:  Following Board approval of the amendments and adoption of the official budget, several budget-related documents will be circulated for signature:
1.  Budget title page (requires signature of all Board members present)
2.  Certification of Anticipated Revenues
3.  Certification of Budget
4. Resolution to adopt the FY25 Budget

Description:  Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Operations Griffin Sonntag will make a brief presentation outlining major components of the budget proposal and changes from last month's tentative budget presentation. Following the presentation, any School Board questions will be addressed. Subsequently, questions from the public will be addressed.

Description:  The warrant lists are attached for Board review.  Becky Walters and Griffin Sonntag reviewed the bills.

Description:  Board Secretary Mary Lenzen is recommending declassification of the closed session minutes listed in the attached memo. Also, closed session audio recordings over 18 months old are being recommended for destruction. 

Description:  The September 2025 Personnel Report is attached for Board review and approval. 

Description:  Board policy 6.240 requires approval on any overnight field trips and trips that require 200 miles (or more) from school.  Our overnight field trips or field trips that are more than 200 miles from school include.
1. Outdoor Education (overnight) to Oregon, IL
2. Student Council leadership conference (overnight) to Springfield, IL 
3. Other trips as scheduled by the staff and approved by the administration

Description:  Superintendent Dave Palzet will provide the Board with a brief update on items listed.

Description:  The following Board Policies were revised or reviewed: 6:15, 6:30, 6:60, 6:70, 6:100, 6:150, 6:160, 6:290.

Description:  The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees, specific individuals who serve as independent contractors in a park, recreational, or educational setting, or specific volunteers of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee, a specific individual who serves as an independent contractor in a park, recreational, or educational setting, or a volunteer of the public body or against legal counsel for the public body to determine its validity. However, a meeting to consider an increase in compensation to a specific employee of a public body that is subject to the Local Government Wage Increase Transparency Act may not be closed and shall be open to the public and posted and held in accordance with this Act. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1). 

The purchase or lease of real property for the use of the public body, including meetings held for the purpose of discussing whether a particular parcel should be acquired. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(5).

Description:   This month, the district received the following Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests:
1. Karyn Lisowski requested email records from 2022.
2. Karyn Lisowski requested information about an anonymous tip line.
3. Megan McMillin requested information regarding the status of an employee.
4.  Megan McMillin requested documents regarding an incident involving a student. 
5. Laura Kitaeff requested documents related to District procedures for handling employee complaints.
6. Rebeca Zeman requested disciplinary records pertaining to a staff member.
7. David Giuliani requested information about the leave status of an employee.
8. Karen Garcia with SmartProcure requested current staff contact information.
