III. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Description:

IV. RECOGNITION OF VISITORS AND PARTICIPATION
Description:
At each regular and special open meeting, members of the public and district employees may comment on or ask questions of the Board of Education. If you would like to address the Board, please complete the form and give it to Mrs. O'Donnell, our recording secretary.

V.A. Custodian Appreciation Day
Description:
October 2 was Custodian Appreciation Day. Our students created posters and banners thanking our crew for their dedication and work keeping our schools clean and ready.

V.B. Principal Appreciation Day
Description:
The week of October 15-21 is recognized as Principal Appreciation week in Illinois and Friday, October 20 as Principal Appreciation Day!
We thank our principals: Dr. Lambatos, Ms. Gage, Ms. Meziere, Dr. Nystrom, and Mr. Kaper for their outstanding leadership! |

V.C. National School Bus Safety Week
Description:
Oct. 16-20, 2023 is recognized as National School Bus Safety Week. In District 23, we take this opportunity to thank our partners, First Student, and all of the drivers who serve our community.

Description:
On October 30, the Illinois State Board of Education will release the 2023 School Report cards and summative designations. While the information is currently under embargo, we are very pleased with the data we have seen and look forward to sharing it with the community.

VIII. FINANCIAL REPORT
Description:
Attached is the memo recommending payment of the voucher lists for materials, supplies, and services paid since the last BOE meeting. In addition, the District payments for salaries and insurance benefits during the previous month are included for approval. Those documents are all included for your review.

If District 23 would like to send a representative to the Delegate Assembly during the Triple I convention, we need to nominate and approve a Board Member. We will review the platform and bring a recommendation for a directed vote at our meeting in November.

Description:
The Board annually reviews and approves proposed fundraising and service learning projects conducted in District 23.
