Discussion:
Saber Family Update: It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Ryan Eiler, as reported by the Minnesota State Patrol the evening of Sunday, April 26th.
Mr. Eiler joined the district in 2021 as a Health and Physical Education teacher at the High School - Academies of Shakopee. In March 2025, he also became an Assistant Coach for the boys sprint team with Shakopee Track & Field. In addition to his work in Shakopee, Mr. Eiler was an active member of the Army National Guard. He was a graduate of both the University of St. Thomas and the University of Minnesota. Support staff and members of the District Crisis & Safety Committee will be onsite at the High School throughout the week. Resources will be available for students and families in addition to support provided by school counselors, school psychologists and administration. Please join the Shakopee Public Schools Board in a moment of silence in honor of Mr. Eiler.
