Goal III: Perkins County Board Governance Goal: The board will utilize the adopted committee structure to foster a cohesive and collaborative working relationship with the superintendent, driving intentional and positive district-wide culture and climate to support improved instruction and student success.

Recognized Plainsmen of the Month and September’s “You Rock Award” recipient.

PCE team presented MTSS practices at the Kearney MTSS Summit, generating interest from other schools.

Classroom observations and formal evaluations underway, incorporating the new ELA Instructional Practice Guide.

Celebrated Homecoming Week with schoolwide activities and Plainsmen Pride.

Continued instructional focus on MAP/DIBELS data, Nebraska WORDS, progress monitoring, and PLC collaboration.

Participated in NCSA’s Educator Academy for Legislative Advocacy.

Kindergarten team developing parent-friendly, standards-based report cards to improve communication of student progress.

JAG students organized a September 11th awareness campaign.

Collaborated with ESU 16 on professional development feedback and leadership training.

Successful Rule 10 visit with positive feedback for staff and district.

Completed Fall MAP testing; planning data reviews to support differentiated instruction.

MTSS leadership team attended conference in Kearney.

Developing MTSS implementation plan, beginning with junior high and expanding to high school.

Successful Homecoming week featuring parade, pep rally, football victory, and dance.

Girls Golf completed districts, showing improvement throughout the season.

Successfully hosted SPVA Cross Country.

JH Boys Cross Country placed 2nd at State.

Homecoming festivities were a success, including the parade and pep rally.

Volleyball earned the #3 seed for SPVA; postseason play approaching.

State Cross Country scheduled for October 23 in Kearney.

JH Wrestling schedule adjustments and November AD Conference preparations.

Transportation workshop attended September 23.

Updated Annual Report with CIP goals and progress following Rule 10 visit.

Assisted with ADA, Title IX, and Section 504 documentation.

Provided staff training and support for curriculum mapping.

Participated in NDE External Review at Hayes Center; additional review scheduled for November.

Elementary HAL students exploring space science, motion, and forces.

JH HAL students visited Ash Hollow State Park; November field trip planned.

Continuing to address WiFi and door access throughout the district.

Planning elementary network upgrades and server rack installations over break.

Received a quote for JH/HS phone system replacement, potentially looking at the summer 2027.

Troubleshooting four ClearTouch interactive boards at the elementary (under warranty).

Installed new technology in the Ag Room and replaced library iMacs.
