Dr. Hiel will serve as a neutral facilitator so all board members can participate in the board's self-evaluation discussion freely. 

Each board member will have designated time to share their perspective. The intended purpose of this session is to gain understanding and perspective from each other so we can improve our collective approach in support of the best interest of the district. 

In case you are not familiar, a focused conversation is  a long-held method for enabling better conversations by leading groups through phases of reflection which enables them to process their experience as a group. The discussion is an open, focused, and collaborative dialogue of discovery where everyone is invited to speak, to listen, and to understand others’ perspectives of their experience in the group. This method has a history of producing positive results for improving working relationships.
