8.3. Ratify the 2025–2027 Forest Lake Supervisors' Association Agreement
Description:
The employment agreement between the Forest Lake Supervisors' Association and the Forest Lake Area School District expired on June 30, 2025.
The School District and the Forest Lake Supervisors' Association have a tentative settlement of the Agreement for the time period of July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2027. The Forest Lake Supervisors' Association has voted positively to ratify this Agreement, and it is now being presented to the School Board for approval.

Description:
The employment agreement between the Forest Lake Directors’ Association and the Forest Lake Area School District expired on June 30, 2025. The School District and the Forest Lake Directors’' Association have a tentative settlement of the Agreement for the time period of July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2027. Description:

8.7. Set Medical Premiums 2026-27
Description:
The Employee Benefits Committee and the Finance Committee frequently review claims data and early renewal positions. The district continues to implement plan design changes and consumer driven incentives to assist in keeping premiums and claims as low as possible. The committee reviewed renewal data from National Insurance Services (NIS) which indicated the need for a 7% increase.
Administration recommends increasing medical insurance premiums by 7%, effective July 1, 2026. Increase single premium from $1,178 to $1,260 per month. Increase monthly family premium from $3,050 to $3,264 per month.

9.1. First Reading — Forest Lake Area Schools Language Access Plan
Description:
During the 2023 Minnesota legislative session, new requirements were put into place ensuring a school district’s role in providing translation services to families. Starting in the 2025-2026 school year, Minnesota school districts and charter schools are required by Minnesota Statute 123B.32 to adopt and maintain a formal Language Access Plan. This plan must ensure meaningful access for families with limited English proficiency (LEP), providing free, timely interpretation and translation of vital documents, and it must be included in the district’s parent handbook.

First Reading - Board review, and consideration for second reading on May 28, 2026.

Description:
The purpose of this policy is to encourage regular school attendance of all school-aged children in the district. The School Board Policy Committee has reviewed this policy and is presenting it to the School Board with the changes noted.
