NOTICE is hereby given that the Collin County Community College District Board of Trustees will hold a Board Retreat on Friday, November 5, 2021, at the Collin Higher Education Center, 3452 Spur 399, McKinney, TX 75069 ("CHEC"). |
CONVENE BOARD RETREAT: 9:00 a.m., Room 227, CHEC. |
PUBLIC COMMENT ON AGENDA ITEMS Public comment cards are available and accepted on-site for one hour prior to the start of the meeting. Comment cards are not transferable to other speakers. All comments related to non-agenda items will be heard at the end of the Board Retreat. Comments addressing agenda items will be heard at the beginning of the meeting, in order of the corresponding agenda item, for the allotted thirty minutes or until all agenda-related comments have been heard. Speakers who submit public comment cards may have up to three minutes to address the Board. No presentation shall exceed three minutes, unless a translator is required, in which case up to six minutes can be used. The Board encourages but does not require delegations of more than five individuals to appoint one person to present the delegation's views before the Board. |

CONVENE TO CLOSED OR EXECUTIVE SESSION Adjournment to Room 227, CHEC, for closed or executive session pursuant to the Texas Government Code Chapter 551.001 et seq., to wit: If during the course or at the end of the Board Retreat covered by this notice, the Board of Trustees should determine that a closed session or executive session of the Board of Trustees or a consultation with an attorney for the college should be held or is required, then such closed or executive session or consultation with attorney as authorized by the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code § 551.001 et. seq., will be held by the Board of Trustees at the date, hour, and place given in this notice as the Board of Trustees may conveniently meet in such closed or executive meeting or session or consult with the attorney concerning any and all subjects and for any and all purposes permitted by the Texas Open Meetings Act, including, but not limited to, the following sanctions and purposes: Texas Government Code Section: § 551.071 - Private consultation with the college’s attorney § 551.072 - Deliberation regarding purchase, exchange, lease, or value of real property § 551.074 - Discussing personnel matters including the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee § 551.076 and § 551.089 - Deliberations regarding security devices or security audits |
