Action Item should be used for Agenda Items expected to result in one or more Actions. However, Actions can be performed on any Agenda Item.
Unit Report Item should be used for Unit Reports; this is often used when Units have their own Meetings, and report back to the main board.
Consent Agenda should be used for an Agenda Item expected to be approved, via an Action, without any discussion or other deliberation (represented via one or more Consent Item children Agenda Items). Ideally there should only be one per Agenda, but technically there is no limit.
Consent Item is a single Agenda Item that should be approved without any discussion or other deliberation. It must be a child of (or a descendant to) a Consent Agenda.
Information Item can be used on an Agenda Item where no Action is expected. They are usually one-way without much dialog.
Procedural Item should be used on Agenda Items that are part of the typical process of a meeting. These Agenda Items should not introduce new topics or ideas or information, though they may have Actions.
Non-Action Item can be used for Agenda Items where an Action is not expected, but that do not fit into any of the other categories. However, Actions can be performed on any Agenda Item, including this one.
Group should be used similarly to the Consent Agenda type, but comes with a different name and other settings.
