To whom it may concern:

The Elk Lake Elementary no longer has a girls=E2=80=99 group. The group was
originally started by myself for 5th-grade female students to learn about
and implement personal and community growth. Our motto was to always be
working to improve ourselves, others, or our community. Unfortunately, the
group has not been run for a number of years due to grade-level schedule
changes and then compounded by me switching positions out of 5th grade. The
money in this account was raised through plant sales, vegetable
sales/donations (via the students using the greenhouse on campus) and
donations. While I am saddened the group=E2=80=99s timing has come to an en=
d, I
would like to ask that the account be closed and the money in the account
to go to the Mary Jo Bayer Embrace Inclusion Community Fund. This fund is
in honor of a past Elk Lake employee who devoted her time to helping
students with identified disabilities transition from the high school
setting post high-school life. This donation would be a way for the girls
group to make one more positive impact in the community, which was a core
objective of the group. Please consider this and let me know if I may
proceed.
